Dr Dagmawi Tadesse
Dagmawi completed a PhD in computational physics at Murdoch University where he had been working on mathematical and numerical modelling of electrochemical energy storage devices (specifically an electric double-layer capacitor or supercapacitor). He developed analytical and semi-analytical models to describe the structure of electric double layers and predict their capacitance and energy densities.
He has an MSc in Photonics from Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany and has previously worked on modelling optical components, such as diffraction gratings for waveguide applications and optical detectors.
Dagmawi joined CIDS as a data scientist in September 2022 where he works with the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre (FBI CRC).
His key competencies and research interests include:
• Computational Physics
• Mathematical and Numerical Modelling
• Data Analytics and Visualisation
