HDR Student

Frans Coetzer

Frans is finalising a Master of Predictive Analytics at Curtin University and has joined CIDS to complete his capstone project. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) degree from North-West University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Johannesburg.

Frans has a background in manufacturing where he has functioned as a Blast Furnace Process Engineer and Production Manager. In these roles, he has directed several projects focussing on lining replacement for campaign extension, material usage reduction, and energy use optimisation. He has experience processing and analysing data to support efficiency improvements and motivate business decisions.
