Dr Valentina Tiporlini
Valentina holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Edith Cowan University and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Innovation and Enterprise from Curtin University. She has extensive technical knowledge in AI, machine learning, and data science, supported by 15 years of experience across academia and industry.
Before joining the Curtin Institute for Data Science (CIDS), Valentina led research and development projects at the BrainChip Research Institute, where she managed cross-functional teams and established partnerships with research institutes and industry leaders across sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and environmental monitoring. She previously completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Edith Cowan University, where she worked on health and medtech research projects and built strong connections between the university and industry.
In her current role at CIDS, Valentina focuses on expanding strategic partnerships, leading data science initiatives, and managing stakeholder relationships. She works to identify new collaboration opportunities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support data science projects that address industry needs.
